Mother’s Day

The week before Mother’s day, both kids had Mother’s day parties. They were back to back but I had just enough time to get to each of them so it worked out well.

Aedan’s class served all the moms breakfast and they had a cute little song to go with the book I Love You Forever…talk about a tear jerker! The picture is a little blurry, but I love his smile!

Adelaide’s school put on a little singing performance too. She was too cute!

That Friday, I headed down to Houston to visit my sister. Jon sent me these pictures over the weekend. Clearly they missed me terribly. Ha!

Spring Time

A couple of weekends ago we got to go to a parade and carnival in town. The kids had a blast!

This is one of my favorites. These kids have been friends since the bigger ones were just little two year olds!

After one of Adelaide’s soccer game I caught them sitting together watching some big kids playing.

Lately

The weeks just keep flying by! I am ready for summer vacation (not necessarily the heat, but the no school and no getting up early part!).

Here is what we have been up to lately…

Adelaide and I were playing a game last week and she stopped mid turn to take phone call. She even told me “shh!!”. Apparently she is already a teenager.

Aedan was off school for Good Friday so there was lots of play going on. Adelaide has so much more fun when he is home! I love that he still dresses up as various characters. I know it won’t last forever.

Adelaide started soccer last weekend. She has been talking about playing for about a year now and she is finally old enough. I was out of town but Jon got some good pictures. Look how old she looks!

Aedan told me he didn’t want to play this season, he just wanted to help Adelaide. Jon said he did a really good job. He also told me one benefit to not playing is that you can eat more snacks. Ha!

I missed her soccer game, because I was out of town on a girls trip. A group of us headed down to experience Round Top. We had so so so much fun!

I can very close to not going because Aedan got hit with a stomach bug the night before I left. He and I were literally up all night. After a lot of coffee and laundry, I got it together and decided to go. I am so glad I did (and no one else in the family got the bug, thankfully!) I am crediting this stuff to stopping the bug. I pretty much cleaned the entire house with it the next day and we used it on light switches and door handles for the next few days.

I had heard Round Top was huge, but it was so much bigger than I was expecting. We only had a day to see everything and we are already planning two days for our fall trip!

It was the perfect little get away and much needed time with friends!

Spring Break

We have had such a great spring break! I am so sad it is over. Now that Aedan is in school everyday, it was so nice to have a week of no alarm clocks and early mornings. We stayed in town and just enjoyed the week.

Six Years Old!

Today is Aedan’s 6th birthday! How is that even possible??

First time at the Greenbelt at 8 days old…

It’s still one of his favorite places to go!

We’ve done a bunch of celebrating, Last weekend we went to the Sherwood Forest Festival. It was SO much fun!

Then yesterday we had his birthday party at the house. It was fun seeing him play with all his friends. We lucked out and after a week of solid rainy days, we had beautiful weather. It was so nice to be outside. We rented a big jumpy house and the kids had so much fun!

Today we started the day with donuts and then a family trip to Aedan’s favorite place, the greenbelt.

Then we all came home and crashed for the afternoon. It has been such a great weekend!

Aedan, you are such a wonderful little boy. You have a big heart and are very considerate and sweet. You play hard and have such am amazing imagination. You are so smart and have a great sense of humor. We love you so much and I am so blessed that you made be a mother. Watching you grow up these last 6 years has been so special. I can’t wait to see what is to come. Happy birthday baby boy! We love you to the moon and back! – Love, Mommy & Daddy.

Beautiful Weather

We have been having such great weather the past few weeks. It is supposed to rain some next week, so we are soaking in the sun while we can.

I took this picture a few weeks ago. On the weekends, while Adelaide naps, Aedan has rest-time. Usually he plays in his room or upstairs, but this day he wanted to play outside. I caught him just laying on Hiro. He said they were enjoying the sunshine.

Adelaide told me she was going outside one afternoon. Next thing I know, I see this out the window. I have no idea, how she got the little car outside or how she got it on the trampoline. She is determined and keeps us on our toes! I posted on Instagram that I am guessing she will be the first to break a bone. Then later that afternoon, Aedan was riding his car off the porch on a wooden ramp he made, so I may have spoken too soon. Ha!

Adelaide loves to color/draw. We have been doing lots of sidewalk chalk since it has been so nice outside.

Earlier this week, we met some friends at the Wild Flower Center. It is such a fun place, we don’t go there enough! Adelaide had a great time.

We are off to meet some more friends for dinner and enjoy the evening. Bring on the weekend!

Valentine’s Day

We didn’t do too much on Valentine’s day. We exchanged some sweet cards and little gifts and just hung out as a family. Jon’s birthday is later this week, so we saved our date night for that.
Adelaide and I went to Aedan’s class Valentine’s Day party on Friday.







































Adelaide had her class party on Thursday. This is what came home…it says I love…Mommy and Daddy, Aedan, Chicken and bicycles. Ha! I am not sure where the chicken come in. She gives us a lot to laugh about these days.
