Jon was able to get home a day early from his trip so he got in late last night. Hiro and I drove back from Plano this afternoon. I had a great weekend with my family. We spent the weekend moving my great aunt into an assisted living home. My parents had already done A LOT of work so we really just had a few things to pack up at her old apartment, clean it up and turn in the keys. I'm glad I was able to go and help out. It was nice to spend time with my parents and sister and not think about school or work.
I'm too tired to write about everything...it would be boring anyway so here are some highlights. (I forgot to take pictures...sorry!).
- I got to Plano early enough to visit my mom at school. I also got to see an old lifeguarding friend who now teaches art at the same school.
- I got to visit with my great aunt and see her new place.
- I went shopping with my sister and got some cute stuff at Target (of course).
- I went fabric shopping with my mom and got a GREAT deal on some beautiful fabric for our bedroom...I am going to be doing some fun things with it this week.
- I got to take Hiro and my parents dog Rubi (a yellow lab) walking and playing in the creek...they are so cute together.
- I spent some time scrapbooking and figured out some more tricks...which is why I have a new background and header.
